We’re excited to be recruiting the final members of the Garden & Parkland team for a beautifully kept private estate in East Wiltshire, near Andover. This is a rare opportunity to work in a fully staffed, supportive environment where high standards of horticulture and estate care are at the heart of everything.
The Role
As an Estate Gardener, you’ll work closely with the Team Leader and Head Gardener, contributing to the maintenance and development of a wide variety of landscapes. The estate includes formal lawns, wildflower meadows, an arboretum, parkland, and specimen trees – all managed to exceptional standards.
Your day-to-day duties will include:

Grass cutting and strimming with pedestrian, ride-on, and tractor-mounted machinery

Maintenance of lawns, meadows, trees, and shrubs

Planting, seasonal pruning, mulching, feeding, and general upkeep

Assisting with estate-wide projects and landscape improvements

Monitoring plant health, pests, and diseases, and taking appropriate action

Carrying out basic machinery and tool maintenance
About You
We’re looking for a practical, hardworking gardener with a passion for horticulture and the outdoors. You’ll need:

Previous experience in estate gardening, horticulture, or grounds maintenance

Knowledge of turf care, tree care, and seasonal horticultural tasks

Confidence using a range of machinery and tools

Strong attention to detail and a positive, proactive approach

A full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable:

PA1/PA6 spraying certification

Chainsaw or tractor operation certification

RHS Level 2 or equivalent horticultural qualification

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (1-hour lunch)
